For an office building of eight stories, with a total floor area of 4,000u(43,000 sqft), energy consumption may account for up to 20% of its life cycle costs. Excluding factors set by the building design, we propose and undertake such basic energy saving countermeasures as to decrease the energy load, cut load peaks, improve the efficiency of heat exchange/transfer, and collect/recycle (cogenerate) the energy based on our successful experiences.
